Here is a great little tool that is focused on choosing colors for your website. The site is colorcoordinator.com. You can create a color scheme, in any shade, and link them together in various ways.
You can set colors by specifying RGB, HSB, or web style hexadecimal values. Colors change in real time by clicking the mouse or entering values. You can do side by side comparisons, or choose between color wheels.
If you are like me, the most difficult part of building a site is trying to place the colors. I know where I want elements and pictures to go, but getting the colors right can be somewhat difficult. This tool has seemed to help in distinguishing different color effects and combinations which can give life to any website. I think it is definitely a must have in any developers toolbox.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. My color scheme is awful and I’ve been thinking of re-doing it.
This may prove useful!

Jason, Excellent find! That program rocks! Sorry to not have commented on your site before… I do visit it daily but get wrapped up in other things and neglect to comment on your posts… I will try to come back daily to view your content!
