Who wants to spend $40 on a .NET developers guide? I didn’t think so, but something like that would be worthwhile to have, right? Well, a great resource for people who like to dabble in different tech areas is FreeTechBooks.com.
Basically, the site lists free online comuter science and engineering books and lecture notes, all of which are freely and legally available over the Internet. The best part, there aren’t any catches. The books and notes are hosted on the websites that belong to the authors or the publishers of the work. You can view, download and print the work, just don’t redistribute it unless the copyright says you can.
As an example, here are a few of the resources available:
- Introduction To Digital Filters - With Audio Applications
- Wireless Networking in the Developing World
- Seamless Object-Oriented Software Architecture
Check out the site and let me know what you think!
