Idea Conference 2006

Posted by: Jason Drohn In: business

idea conference 2006Ideas are powerful.  A simple idea can turn an 18 year old into a serial entrepreneur or a struggling business into a Forune 500 company.  It’s all in how that idea is conveyed and developed.

The Idea Conference was just held, a little over a week ago, in the Seattle Public Library.  On their blog though, are links to a whole host of presentations both audio and visual.  Of particular interest is Bruce Sterling’s closing keynote in mp3 format (You can click the link to download it too).

IDEA 2006 brings together a diverse set of designers, creators, and researchers for one purpose; how to let everyday people take true advantage of the information that floods our lives.

The presentors are from a pretty broad array of disciplines including museum design, information visulaization, librarians, environmental design, research, engineering, interaction design, and product strategy.  The goal of the conference is to give people like you and me the confidence and information to engage in a wide range of design problems.

Credit given to webreakstuff for the Bruce Sterling note.
