Ten Emerging Technologies To Track

Posted by: Jason Drohn In: investing| technology

I stumbled across this article, by Larry Nusbaum, in my travels today and thought you might like to have a look.  I am going to do a more in depth analysis in the coming weeks regarding a few of these technologies, and what their implications might be.  Until then..

  1. Quad Core Servers (How about 16 core servers..)
  2. Blog servers
  3. RFID tags
  4. Encryption
  5. Enterprise Service Bus
  6. Software as a Service (SAAS)
  7. IP Video
  8. Applications accelerators
  9. WiMax and mesh networks
  10. United communications software

“The systems range in configuration from four 24-core processors (96 cores) and 32GB of memory up to sixteen processors (384 cores) and 256GB of memory. These massive resources are dynamically allocated across multiple applications running in each appliance simultaneously.” from azulsystems.com

Thank you James. I had heard and blogged about larger test precessors being built in Asia, but I didn’t know they were actually in development yet! Fantastic resource!
