Review – Wirefly.com

by Jason Drohn

wirefly.com With days growing shorter and shorter (or so it seems lately), who really has time to stand around and wait in line at a cell phone shop? I definitely don’t. I use Verizon, and the only outlet that does the full line of service related things is always packed!

I have been asked to do a review of Wirefly Mobile, and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. In fact, I almost immediately dismissed the notion because I don’t talk about cell phones on a regular basis here. I do talk about some time management and overall good decision making though. And this website wraps up all of your cell phone needs into one tiny package.

In touring Wirefly, I noticed a lot of great features and low prices. I am no expert, but a free Blackjack phone from Cingular definitely catches my attention. It’s too bad Cingular isn’t offered here. All of the big cellular retailers are featured, both traditional and pre-paid. And everything is done by zip code… always a nice feature.

The downside of the site is that it is really crowded. There are so many logos on the home page that it almost hurts your eyes, but it really isn’t any different than walking to Wal Mart, I suppose. I am also unsure about how a phone is serviced. I imagine all that is done inside the local retailer’s store, but I couldn’t say for sure.

In summary, if you are considering a cell phone purchase, it would be of benefit to check Wirefly before you made the trip to a store. I think for the most part, you will find that prices and accuracy of information are better than if a sales clerk was standing right in front of you! The way I see it, time is limited and we need to make the best of what we do have. This could save some for you.

I am one of the many FRUSTRATED customers of Wirefly who promise to never buy anything from Wirefly.

The phone I bought from Wirefly started giving problems within a month of purchasing it.It gets switched off many times a day, freezes on me when I am on call, the person I am talking to cannot hear my voice an so on. When I complained I was asked to send my phone back and I had to manage with some one else’s phone till I got my phone back. If I ask for them to send me a new phone after which
I can send my old phone back they said they cannot do that. I did the same what they said as I wanted to give them a second chance.I got a new phone. But unfortunately it also started giving me same problems again. This time they asked me to send my phone and SIM both. When I ask them how can I manage with out my SIM and phone, they simply say that they have no other options. The Customer Service Reps are so unempathetic, impolite and certainly NOT CUSTOMER FOCUSED and option less.

STAY AWAY from Wirefly because Wirefly services are just pathetic and of a very low grade, they do not publish their customer service phone number. I tried many numbers which I found Googling and only one worked.
I did not want to spend all the time reaching a customer service rep if the call gets disconnected but the customer service rep was not ready to take my number to call back.
Don’t get attracted by their seemily good deals. Its definetly NOT WORTH the frustration and the time you spend trying to reach a customer service who finally makes you pissed off at the end of the call.

This is the worst experience I ‘ve ever had which forced me to take time to share my experience so that I can help people who see these reviews make a wise hassle free decision.
