Podcast - The Power of Networks

Posted by: Jason Drohn In: podcasts

This is a podcast further explaining what you read about in the ‘Networks Trump Hierarchy‘ post. It is available at the bottom of the entry, in case you were wondering.
In it, I talk about the FedEx team approach to business, as well as employee sponsored networks and how it all fits together to make a stronger work environment.

Also covered are some of my thoughts on social networking technology and the 2.0 sites on the internet.

In closing, I discuss how I feel networks will impact us in 10 years. Whether you are an entrepreneur, designer, developer, or any kind of freelance business owner, networks are crucial to making you money.

It isn’t telephone book advertising or even mailings, but who you know and how influential those people are in referring business your way.

That’s pretty good insight on 7 years into the future. Very awesome podcast, I not sure if I should say this… but I really like your podcasts much better than the writing… in a hand to hand comparison of course. And what I mean to say, is I would probably not have read this article if everything you said in 7 minutes was written instead of recorded. The podcasts are great, I am learning so much more hearing you talk compared to reading it.

Keep them coming… also, I am probably speaking for tons of people. There are little to no comments, and I want to remind you that there are probably 25 people who listen/read what you publish here to 1 person who comments. So keep up the awesome work… and I know that I speak for at least 25 of the mute visitors and listeners!
