2007 Web and Technology Mergers and Acquisitions

My friend from PartnerUp.com, Mike, contacted me regarding a list they spent a good deal of time creating. It is a Web/Technology Acquisitions list for last year and is impressive to say the least.
One thing to think about while going through it is trendspotting. Are there increased acquisitions in one area over another? Is there a niche, social network that hasn’t been established yet? Is there some sort of web application that might make sense for some of these larger companies to buy?
